6-Days of History and Adventure in Cairo and the White Desert

Breakfast in the hotel will be your first meal of the day, and your guide who speaks English will then take you to the Giza Plateau, a place where you will see the most famous tourist attractions of Egypt. The first place you will go to is The Great Pyramid of King Cheops, an extraordinary structure that still fascinates the scientific community because of its perfect orientation. 

Next, you will visit the Pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus, the latter comprising Giza's smallest royal pyramid.Your guide will give a detailed and interesting account of each site, and you will have a good chance to shoot lots of photographs. You will also see The Great Sphinx, the legendary monument with the body of a lion and the head of a man, and also learn about the adjacent Valley Temple of Chephren where mummification was practiced.

Have a scrumptious lunch in the city after the tour, then go to Islamic Cairo. Here, go out to see the vibrant markets, take in the culture of local peoples, and sip traditional mint tea at famous cafes in Khan el Khalili. After a day of activities, head towards your Cairo hotel in order to eventually relax and spend the night.

On the next morning, step into the Egyptian Museum to gaze at ornaments from the days of King Tutankhamun and to learn about Valley of the Kings discoveries. Finally, explore Coptic Cairo, including the Roman Fortress of Babylon and the Hanging Church, a marvellous building nested on cliffs high above the ancient fortress.

Start your day with having breakfast at the hotel, check-out and meet the guide in a comfortable air-conditioned transportation, drive overland to Bahariya Oasis, surely a four-hour journey and get a glance of mummification in the Valley of the Golden Mummies lying in the footsteps of Egypt. Then visit the Tombs of Nobles, where the rulers of the oases were buried before paying a visit to Alexander the Great's Temple.Have a delicious lunch at the oasis before checking into your hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the hotel or avail yourself of its hot mineral waters. Later on, you can take a walking tour of the oasis in peaceful quietness before the sun sets; thus, you will have the chance to encounter the locals and participate in the special culture of the area. Wrap up the day with a climb up the Black Mountain, for which the remains of the English House at the crest offer a grand vista for viewing the oasis under the colorful skies of the sunset. After an early breakfast at the hotel, the day begins with a visit to Bahariya's huge salt lake with its colorful vivid orange sand dunes and a peaceful palm garden before going for lunch. After a hearty lunch, the journey takes us to the hot and dry desert to explore the Black Desert. It is unique because of its very black volcanic mountains, covered in fine little black stones. Short stops at El Haize Valley, making our way to Crystal Mountain and Agabat Valley, are other highlights.Next, enter the remarkable White Desert, where wind and sandstorms have shaped unusual white rock formations that appear almost sculpted. As evening approaches, set up camp in the vast White Desert. Here, you may spot rare desert foxes and enjoy breathtaking sunsets while local Bedouins prepare a warm and hearty dinner under the stars.

After breakfast, take some time to capture pictures, admire these amazing white limestone formations, and immerse yourself in the soothing hot spring waters. Later, you will be transferred back to Cairo by private car and your Guide. Upon arrival, check into your hotel whence you will spend the night in Cairo.
