Arrival to Istanbul Ataturk airport in the morning and meet with your guide from Next Holiday; transfer to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, start exploring Istanbul, visiting the Ancient Hippodrome, which was one of the largest chariot race grounds of the Byzantine Empire. You will take a short walk to the Blue Mosque, completed in 1616. It is a triumph of harmony, proportion, and elegance. Then outside, as panaromic, we can see St. Sophia, the Church of Divine Wisdom, and a testament to the sophistication of the 6th century. Lunch will be served. Than you will visit the magnificient Topkapi Palace, the winter residence of Ottoman Sultans for almost 300 years. Spend a day touring Green Bursa in full. Enjoy the trip to Eskihisar and then take the ferry over the Sea of Marmara with a stop at Yalova. Drive towards Bursa while the panoramic views of Yalova are guiding you, and finally come to the first capital of the Empire of the Ottomans.
The first place to visit is the beautiful Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque), the biggest mosque in Bursa and the finest illustration of the Turkish Ottoman architecture with the great calligraphic decorations of 1399. The next stops are the Green Mosque and the 15th-century Koza Han, the “Silk Market” built by Sultan Bayezid II in 1491. At one time, a caravanserai and a main Silk Road stop from China, Koza Han, is still today a trading hub for silk.
After a lunch break, you will go to see the Old Tree, which is one of the records of Turkey’s oldest trees, about 600 years old, 35 meters high, and 9 meters thick. After that, you will go to a Turkish delight factory for optional shopping before the journey back to Istanbul starts. You will land in Istanbul late evening and get transferred to your hotel, where you spend the night.
