The 8-day Egypt cruise tour on the Nile River offers a once-in-a-lifetime, glorious ride. This program takes 7 nights on a magnificent cruise ship traveling from Luxor to Aswan. The itinerary here features a superb melange of stunning ancient Egyptian edifices and modern comforts.

This is an introduction to your adventure in Luxor: with a visit to the awe-striking Karnak and Luxor Temples, and then to the Valley of Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The cruise then departs to sail down to Aswan, taking in the sites such as the Philae Temple and the High Dam; all those lazy hours can be enjoyed on the spacious sun decks of the ship.

Upon arrival at Luxor Airport, a Next Holiday Travel representative will meet you and assist with all airport formalities. You will then be transferred to your Nile cruise for check-in and lunch on board.

Overnight stay on the cruise in Luxor.

Start with the Temple of Luxor for a visit, followed by outings to the entrance of its courtyard. For some very impressive granite statues of Ramses II., Museum, Karnak, original temple complex (largest and the most familiar) ever built under progressive chiefs, is the next stop. Start with an avenue of Sphinxes, Unfinished Propylon, and vista the massive Hypostyle Hall 134 pillars of colossal scale. Mitigate the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Thutmose III, the Temple of Amun, such a jewel of papyrus and lotus motifs, a three scarabs of granite consecrated by Amenophis III, and serene Sacred Lake.

Lunch will be served on board as the cruise sails back to Esna to dine in the evening.

Optional: Hot-air ballooning. Experience the rare wonder of flying into the Valley of Kings, Valley of Queens, and Tombs of the Nobles while gazing upon the Sphinx and Luxor's breathtaking views from high up in the sky.

After breakfast on board, visit the Temple of Esna. Continue sailing to Edfu and explore the Temple of Horus. Return to the cruise for lunch on board, then sail onward to Kom Ombo. Enjoy afternoon tea on deck, followed by a disco party in the evening.

After breakfast on board, sail towards Aswan and visit the High Dam and the Philae Temple. Return to the cruise for lunch on board, followed by afternoon tea and dinner in the evening.

Optional: Attend the sound and light laser show at Philae Temple for a magical evening experience.

After breakfast on board, enjoy a felucca excursion on the Nile River around Kitchener’s Island, scouting the Aga Khan Mausoleum. Upon return to the cruise, lunch is to be served - followed by high tea, dinner, and a party at night.

Optional Excursions: You may visit the magnificent Temples of Abu Simbel, erected by Ramses II in the 19th Dynasty of Egypt, which were famously reconstructed and moved to avoid Nile floods. The temples are dug into the cliffs made of sandstone, with colossal carvings showing the various deities they are dedicated to. The smaller Temple of Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor, is also allowed for appreciation.

After breakfast on board, sail to Kom Ombo and explore the Temple of Kom Ombo. Return to the cruise for lunch on board, then continue sailing to Edfu. Enjoy afternoon tea and dinner on board.

After the breakfast on board you would be able to visit the West Bank of Luxor that includes the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon guarding the Nile. The starting point for your visit should be the Necropolis of Thebes on the Eastern Bank followed by a crossing by boat to view the tombs of many pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Deir el-Bahari. On your return, stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Amenhotep III, before visiting the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Return to the cruise for lunch on board, followed by afternoon tea, dinner, and an evening disco party.

Optional: Attend the sound and light show at Karnak Temple.

The main cruise schedule offers 7 nights from Luxor, departing on Saturdays or Mondays, with a limited number of cruises on Thursdays.
