After breakfast, you will be joining our Next Holiday Travel guide with a fully air-conditioned vehicle for an all-day guided excursion. The full-day sightseeing will begin with the Egyptian Museum, which is considered the best museum in the world that houses Egyptian artifacts. Here you will see a wide variety of collections related to most of the pharaonic history, which will give you a glimpse of the fascinating history of Ancient Egypt.

As such, also visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din for it was the core of Egypt for almost 700 years with the Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which was built by the Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq. Also, the places in Old Cairo such as the Hanging Church, the Church of Abu Serga that houses the cave where Jesus is said to have hidden, and Ben Ezra synagogue would be in your plans.

Finally, after the excursion, you will be driven back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

You will get to see the splendid Pompey’s Pillar, which was built in honor of Emperor Diocletian. You will then head to the Citadel of Sultan Qaitbay, situated where the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria used to stand.

After that, you will explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, the biggest Roman burial site with three levels of tunnels and a mixture of Roman and Egyptian art. In the afternoon, you will visit the famous Library of Alexandria and the Montazah Palace’s gardens, which used to be the residence of King Farouk. You are assured to take plenty of magnificent and interesting photographs of your stay in Alexandria. At the end of the tour, you will come back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
