From Aswan to Luxor, travel comfortably with your guide in a modern private vehicle. You will start touring the most interesting places in Luxor upon your arrival. Begin with the eastern side of the Nile, where the complex of Karnak Temple is located. This great complex consists of ruins of various temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings. This complex was started in Middle Kingdom during the reign of Senusret I and continued into the Ptolemaic period. It is known as an extensive open-air museum and is the second-largest ancient religious complex in the world, mainly dedicated to the cult of the Theban triad composed of the gods Amon, his consort Mut, and their son Khunso.

In the afternoon, after your tour, you will rest and have lunch. Later, cross the western side of the Nile, and take a tour to the Valley of the Kings, where you will see very well-preserved tombs of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom, amongst them the famous Ramses II and the young King Tutankhamun. If possible, you will be allowed to enter the tomb of King Tutankhamun.

Next, you will be taken to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also called "the Holy of Holies." This is an architectural wonder comprising three levels connected with ramps. Various scenes describing the divine birth of the Queen and her commercial expedition to Punt are housing the walls. In this temple, maximum veneration has been given to the supreme god Amon-Ra.

You'll be whisked away to the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, standing tall at what was once the front of his mortuary temple. You will also have chances to hear many stories and legends about the statues and see Roman-era graffiti left on the stone. Before ending your tour, you may want to visit an alabaster factory where you can buy hand-cut pieces for your keepsake. At about 5:00 PM, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Aswan, your hotel in Luxor, or to Luxor airport if you are to head out on the same day.
