Get picked up by your expert guide after breakfast at your hotel for a visit to the Giza Pyramids, including the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. Do the Valley Temple where King Chephren was mummified and admire the Great Sphinx, an indispensable highlight of any definite Cairo short break. There is also the opportunity for an optional camel or horseback ride.

Then proceed to Saqqara for a view of the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the world's first stone structure, and from there, to Memphis, Egypt's ancient capital, to view the Colossal Statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx.

Afterward, have a very good lunch at a nice restaurant and then be taken to your hotel. But if you choose, you may circle back to a Nile Dinner Cruise: transportation, dinner, and live shows—all the best for your short break in Egypt.

Start your day by having breakfast in the hotel before leaving for Cairo Downtown en route to a series of excursions. Begin with the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, whose fabulous collection includes some 120,000 Egyptian artifacts, the treasures of Tutankhamun found by Howard Carter in 1922 being an unmissable highlight of any short stay in Cairo. 

Afterwards, explore the Historic Quarter of Cairo with visits to the Church of Abu Serga, the Hanging Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, bearing witness to the city's Christian and Jewish legacies.

Enjoy a delicious lunch of local Egyptian dishes and then head back to your hotel.  For the evening, an optional Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids will surely provide the perfect ending to a special day on your Egypt short break.

Transfer to the Citadel of Saladin for the exploration of its imposing towers and walls, which also involves the Alabaster Mosque erected by Mohamed Ali in 1805. General Saladin had it constructed in the 12th century to protect Cairo and is undoubtedly a great highlight in situ in any Cairo short break.

After lunch, continue with the Cairo day tours at Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Take it easy while you stroll through this lively market, grab some local treasures, and down some of the best mint teas at a traditional cafe—an experience to complement your Egypt short break.

At the close of the day, transfer back to your hotel for overnight stay.
