A representative will meet you at your hotel in Abu Simbel or at Abu Simbel Airport, then transfer you to your Lake Nasser Cruise for embarkation and check-in. Enjoy lunch on board as soon as you put your luggage in your cabin.In the afternoon, you will visit the great temple of Abu Simbel. On your return, relax on your cruise with afternoon tea, then enjoy dinner on board and spend the night.

Your breakfast will be served on board as the cruise sails toward Kasr Ibrim. From the sundeck, you’ll enjoy your first view of the impressive remains of Kasr Ibrim, rising above the Nile and now appearing as an island after the construction of the High Dam. Lunch will be served during the sail.Later, you will meet your guide for a visit to the Amada Temple. Built originally by Pharaoh Thutmose III and later expanded and decorated by Amenhotep II and Thutmose IV, the temple is one of the oldest and best-preserved monuments in the region.Afterward, the cruise continues to the Temple of Derr, one of the notable rock-cut temples of Ramesses II. Its location on the eastern bank of the Nile and its distinctive architectural style make it an important highlight of the area.Your next stop will be the Tomb of Pennut, one of the rare surviving rock-cut tombs belonging to a Viceroy of Kush. Like many monuments around Lake Nasser, it was relocated in the 1960s to protect it from flooding caused by the High Dam.At the end of the day, you will return to the cruise for some rest. Cocktails will be served in the evening, followed by a Nubian show on board. Dinner and overnight on the cruise.

Exploring this area during your Lake Nasser journey is truly memorable, as it contains several ancient temples that were relocated to save them from the rising waters of the High Dam.Wadi El Seboua includes two New Kingdom temples, along with the Temple of Dakka and the Temple of Maharraqa. Most travelers spend a full day here to see all the remarkable monuments. Many begin their tour at the well-known “Valley of the Lions,” a sphinx-lined pathway leading to the older of the two New Kingdom temples. Built by Amenhotep III and dedicated to a Nubian form of Horus, this rock-cut temple still has its brick pylon, courtyard, and main hall preserved, with traces of beautiful wall paintings.After the visit, you will return to the cruise for lunch. The ship will then sail toward Aswan. Dinner will be served on board, and you will spend the night in Aswan.

The temple stands near the High Dam and is usually the first stop on Lake Nasser cruises. It was relocated to its current site after being moved from its original position about 30 miles to the south due to the dam’s construction.Kalabsha Temple was started during the late Ptolemaic period and completed under the Roman Emperor Augustus, which explains the mix of Egyptian and Roman elements in its decoration. Inside, you will find scenes of Roman rulers and pharaohs depicted alongside Egyptian deities. The temple is dedicated to the Nubian god Mandulis.After the visit, you will return to the cruise for checkout, and our representative will transfer you to your hotel in Aswan.

5 Days - Aswan / Abu Simbel Every Monday

Upon arrival in Aswan, a representative of Next Holiday Travel will be there to receive you and will accompany you to your Lake Nasser Nile Cruise for check-in. Lunch will be served on board. Afterward, you will be introduced to your licensed Egyptologist guide for a tour of Aswan, starting with the High Dam; continuing, you will use a motorboat to reach Agilika Island where you will see the Temple of Philae, built during the Greco-Roman era, an offering presented to the goddess Isis. Your tour ends with a visit to the Unfinished Obelisk found in red granite and devoted to the worship of Amun-Ra. Upon the return from visit, the dinner and gratuity payments to boat staff will be on-laundry expenses drawn from personal bills.

Breakfast will be served on board. Afterwards, you will meet your Egyptologist guide for a visit to Kalabsha Temple. The temple is usually the first stop on a Lake Nasser cruise because it sits just above the High Dam. It was relocated to this area after being moved from its original site about 30 miles to the south when the dam was built.Kalabsha was started during the final years of the Ptolemaic era and completed under the Roman Emperor Augustus, which explains the mix of Egyptian and Roman scenes on its walls. The temple is dedicated to the Nubian god Mandulis.You will also visit Beit El-Wali Temple, which was rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser by a Polish mission working with the Oriental Institute of Chicago and the Swiss Institute in Cairo. The temple is carved mostly into the rock and follows a clear cruciform layout, with a deep hall, a small antechamber supported by two inscribed pillars, and a sanctuary.After the visits, you will return to the boat to rest for a while. Lunch will be served on board as the cruise continues sailing toward Wadi El Seboua, crossing the Tropic of Cancer along the way.

Breakfast will be served on board. After that, you will head to Wadi El Seboua. The name means “Valley of the Lions” in Arabic and refers to the avenue of sphinxes leading to the temple built during the reign of Ramesses II. The temple was moved to its current site in the 1960s after the High Dam was constructed.You will then return to the ship for lunch before sailing to Amada. The Temple of Amada is considered the oldest monument in the Lake Nasser area. It dates back to the 18th Dynasty—around two centuries before the time of Ramesses II and Abu Simbel. Despite this, the temple still carries inscriptions added by Ramesses II and his son Merenptah.

The cruise will set sail early toward Kasr Ibrim, where you will be able to view the site from the sundeck. Kasr Ibrim was once a fortified city that overlooked the Nile, yet with the construction of the Aswan High Dam, the city now appears as an island surrounded by the waters of Lake Nasser.

Thereafter, the cruise continues sailing towards Abu Simbel, whose main attraction will be visiting the world-famous Temples of Abu Simbel.

In the evening, you can attend the Sound and Light Show at Abu Simbel. The show uses narrative, music and sound programs to resuscitate the history of the temples and their builders.
