Your Tour Guide will pick you up from your Luxor Train Station, Airport, Hotel, or Nile Cruise. The half-day tour will begin with a visit to the biggest temple ever built in Egypt: the Temple of Karnak. This extensive complex was built from the Middle Kingdom by Senusret I, 1971–1926 BC, up to the Ptolemaic period, 332-30 BC, covering practically almost 2,000 years of Egyptian history. Take an amazing walk through the incredible avenue of sphinxes with bodies of lions and heads of rams, then the Great Pylons, the grand hypostyle hall with 134 columns, the obelisks, the sanctuary of Philip III Arrhidaeus of Macedon, the Akh Menu of Tuthmosis III (1479–1425 BC), and the sacred lake. Then enjoy free time in this magnificent temple to explore on your own.

The tour will be transferred then to Luxor Temple, which is located in the middle of Luxor city and forms the other end of the Avenue of Sphinxes that links up the Karnak Temple with Luxor Temple. This temple was built by Amenhotep III from 1386 to 1349 BC and Ramses II from 1290–1223 BC, though other pharaohs contributed, including Tutankhamun, Hormohep, and Alexander the Great. This will be followed by an informative guided tour of the Luxor Temple. Additional time will be provided for free viewing of the site. Then you will be transferred to your chosen location on the East Bank in Luxor, whether this is the Train Station, the Airport, your Hotel, or a Nile Cruise.
